# Useful Fiction

> Useful Fiction LLC works at the intersection of strategic narrative, foresight, and change management. We help organizations communicate complex ideas — from emerging technology to future threats — through the power of fiction-based storytelling, a method known as FICINT (fictional intelligence).

Founded by best-selling author and strategist **August Cole** and political scientist **Peter W. Singer**, Useful Fiction is a network of writers, former military leaders, technologists, screenwriters, video game designers, and graphic artists. Our work has been featured on NPR, in Wired, The New York Times, and used by clients including the U.S. Department of Defense, NATO, the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, intelligence agencies, and Fortune 500 companies.
